Friendly approach? Can-do attitude? Committed to maintaining standards for our customers?

If so, this could be the role for you. We are looking for two Community Caretakers to deliver a safe and clean environment for our customers and the local community to enjoy. This is a demanding role and will require a motivated individual committed to delivering the highest standards for our customers.

You’ll have a range of duties, such as maintaining and cleaning communal internal and external areas but also completing minor decorating and maintenance works. Depending on the location, you may also be required to raise minor repair works such as lock or hinge changes and re-glazing. Your keen eye for detail will ensure health and safety issues are highlighted during regular inspections of your local areas to keep communal spaces safe for our customers. You will be responsible for serving a Notice on fire risks and arranging their removal to storage once expired.

Our Caretakers play a key role within their communities acting as a point of focus for estate residents, helping to create a real sense of cohesion. As such, you will get to work with a range of people, so you’ll need a friendly approach and the ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with external and internal partners including housing officers, residents and local police. You’ll get the best from our contractors, monitoring cleaning, gardening and maintenance contracts to ensure the highest standards are achieved.

In return we offer you 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), health cash plan, season ticket loan, tenancy deposit loan, cycle 2 work scheme, childcare vouchers, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer.

Please note we are recruiting to two roles, one based in NW9 and the other in SW5.

Applications for this role close at midday on 10 December 2018. Short listed candidates will be invited to interview and assessments 18 December 2018.
